Learn More About Polynucleotides
Polynucleotides have emerged as a new concept in the field of regenerative bio stimulation for skin rejuvenation. Extracted from salmon DNA, polynucleotides attach to certain receptors of our cells, initiating a cascade of reactions and attracting stem cells to the tissues that are in need of repair or rejuvenation. This leads to an increase in fibroblast and collagen stimulation, giving immediate hydration and a skin tightening effect. After just two weeks, most of the product will have been absorbed, however there will still be fragments of the product left which continues the bio-stimulation.
Polynucleotides are large molecules that make up nucleic acids such as DNA and RNA.
They are composed of nucleotides, which are the building blocks of these molecules.
Polynucleotides promote skin recovery by increasing angiogenesis (new formation of blood vessels), increasing fibroblasts, growth factors and significantly promoting collagen production. These natural gels are composed of high molecular weight polynucleotide chains that possess several unique features that make them highly viscoelastic and capable of binding and orienting a considerable amount of water molecules in space. The synergistic effect of moisturizing, biostimulating, detoxing against free radicals, and contouring/tightening makes polynucleotide-based gels a promising approach for protecting and rejuvenating the skin. The biostimulating effect of polynucleotides leads to the stimulation of type I collagen production and maturation of fibroblasts. The maturation of fibroblasts and the increased production of collagen determine a strong specific lifting and revitalizing effect suitable for all skin types.
The treatment is injected via a cannula or needles and should be repeated once every 15 or 30 days with 2-4 consecutive treatments in total, depending on what the patient wishes to achieve and needs. The results last 6-12 months, depending on age and lifestyle.
In terms of side effects, bruises and some swelling in the injection area for 1-2 days have been reported, but no other side effects have been reported.
It helps decrease fine lines and wrinkles, working as a powerful skin booster to moisturise, reduce free radical damage and boost collagen production.
In summary, the benefits of polynucleotides for skin rejuvenation are manifold. These natural gels have moisturizing, biostimulating, detoxing, and contouring/tightening effects, making them an exciting approach for protecting and rejuvenating skin. With repeated administration over time, polynucleotides recreate the most favourable physiological conditions for fibroblasts’ regeneration and metabolic activity, resulting in long-lasting biorevitalizing effects.
